I was making banana pudding on Thanksgiving day back in 1997 and was out of vanilla wafers ...I had a pack of pecan shortbread cookies ..So i crushed about 10 of them up and topped my banana pudding with them and hoped for the best ...and everyone loved it ...and from that day on when i make Banana pudding i use only pecan shortbread cookies..
