cold biscuit pudding

a southern twist on bread pudding! (not my recipe but a dear friends) it was a passed down family recipe so alot of it is eyeballing and just having been in the kitchen when it was made. I've had it and it's delicious, I also know someone on this site was looking for a cold biscuit pudding recipe so i hope this helps!!

Ingredients
- - left over biscuits
- - milk, enough to cover biscuits
- - sugar, enough to sweeten
- - 2 eggs
- - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- - 1/4 cup of butter
- - 1/2 cup of raisins or golden raisins (optional)
- CHOCOLATE SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
How To Make cold biscuit pudding

Step 1Crumble biscuits in a bowl. Add just enough hot milk to cover. Let stand about 10 or 15 minutes.

Step 2scramble eggs in a bowl.

Step 3Mash biscuits well. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla extract or nutmeg and butter.

Step 4Pour into a black cast iron skillet and bake at 325 degrees F until done. Baking time will depend up on the size of the pan used.

Step 5For chocolate sauce: Place all ingredients except butter into a saucepan, and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add butter, and stir just until butter melts. Serve over hot Biscuit Pudding.
