Ingredients For cherry pecan bread pudding

2 lbfrench bread loaf or homestyle white bread, cubed

4 cmilk

2 chalf and half

3/4 cplus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided

6eggs, beaten

2 tspvanilla

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/2 cdried tart cherries

1/2 cchopped pecans

1/2 cbutter, melted
How To Make cherry pecan bread pudding

1Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet; let dry overnight. In a saucepan over low heat, combine milk, half and half, and 7 tablespoons sugar. Heat to 120F on a candy thermometer; remove from heat. In a large bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and remaining sugar; blend with a whisk. Stir in cherries and pecans. Slowly whisk half of milk mixture into egg mixture; add remaining milk mixture. Stir in bread cubes; toss to mix and let stand for 5 minutes.

2Mix in melted butter; transfer mixture to a lightly greased 13x10 baking pan. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes, or until center is firm. Serve warm.
