I normally don't care for bread puddings but when my bowling buddy made this recipe and it was a big hit.

Ingredients

  • 1
    loaf of cinnamon raisin bread
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 9
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    half and half
  • TOPPING

  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    vanilla ice cream

How to Make Bread Pudding

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Crumble bread into 9x13 greased pan.
  3. Wisk 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
  4. Heat milk and half and half in microwave for 4 minutes. Pour into the above mixture and wisk. Pour over bread and let set for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
  6. Bring the topping ingredients to a boil stirring constantly until thick (approximately 7 minutes. Pour over bread pudding.
