bread pudding with white chocolate sauce

I never liked bread pudding until my Aunt made this one for a family get together a couple years ago. Now, if I make it I have to be careful because I will eat the whole thing! Also I don't always make the sauce because it can be a little too sweet for me with the sauce over it.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pepperidge farm soft french bread (or whatever brand you like)
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 3 - eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 12 ounces bag of white chocolate chips
  • SAUCE
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces bag of white chocolate chips

How To Make bread pudding with white chocolate sauce

  • Step 1
    Cut bread in I inch squares. Put into bowl. Pour cream over bread and let soak in. Stir together eggs, sugar and vanilla and stir into the bread mixture. Stir in bag of white chocolate chips. Pour everything into a buttered 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour. Be sure to line a cookie sheet with foil.
  • Step 2
    For Sauce - Put chips and cream in glass container. Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. I stirred mine afer about 60 sec. and then again after 60 sec. and had to do it a little longer until the chips melt. Pour over individual pieces or over casserole and serve.
