Ingredients

  • - 5 large slices wheat bread
  • - 4 eggs, beaten
  • - 4 cups milk
  • - 3/4 cup sugar
  • - 1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon, vanilla
  • - 1/4 cup each raisins, walnuts

How To Make bread pudding (budin de pan)

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Cut bread into bite size pieces and put at bottom of baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Mix together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour over bread. Sprinkle on raisins and lightly crushed walnuts. Bake 30 minutes til pudding sets. A topping of ice cream, whipped cream, fruit or warm milk goes well on this pudding.
