Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • pinch - salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 cups milk, scalded
  • 3 cups bread cubed
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 1 - unpealed apple diced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make bread pudding

  • Step 1
    lightly butter a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. Stir eggs and blend in sugar, salt, vanilla and spices. Add milk slowly stirring add bread and fruit then dot with butter. Bake in moderate oven (350) about 1 hour
