I got this recipe from my mother-in-law Ann. Its the best recipe for bread pudding I have ever had.

  • 2
    slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 c
    bread cubed (5 or 6 slices)
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c

  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar or brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Bread Pudding


  1. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
  2. Add bread cubes as well as brown sugar and raisins.
  3. Mix ingredients together and pour into round cake pan.
  4. Place round cake pan into bigger more shallow pan and fill 1in deep hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  6. Melt butter in saucepan.
  7. Combine sugar and flour and add to melted butter.
  8. Slowly add water while stirring constantly. Until mixture is smooth.
  9. Add vanilla and blend well. Spoon sauce over bread pudding and serve warm.
