bread and butter pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread
  • 3 - eggs
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • - maple syrup

How To Make bread and butter pudding

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Butter a deep dish 9 inch pie plate or 9 inch square cake pan.
  • Step 3
    Generously butter one side of bread, but in half to make two triangles.
  • Step 4
    Arrange triangles, buttered side up, in prepared dish.
  • Step 5
    In bowl, beat eggs well mixed.
  • Step 6
    Add milk, sugar and vanilla; beat together.
  • Step 7
    Stir in raisins.
  • Step 8
    Slowly pour over bread making sure all bread is well soaked.
  • Step 9
    Bake 45 minutes or until custard has set.
  • Step 10
    Serve with warm maple syrup.
