milk
4
eggs
1/2 c
sugar
1 pinch
salt
2 tsp
cornstarch
1 tsp
vanilla

How to Make Boiled Custard

Step-by-Step

  • 1Beat eggs, salt, sugar and cornstarch.
  • 2Add milk and pour in double boiler.
  • 3Start on high heat until starting to get thick then reduce to medium heat...stirring constantly or it will scald.
  • 4When thick, pour into container and refrigerate several hours until chilled. Serve plain or over ice cream.
