This is an old family recipe I found in my Flavors of Cape Cod cookbook posted by Mary C. Gleason ~ Hope you enjoy it !

Ingredients

  • 3 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup softened butter
  • - dash vanilla
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 6 tablespoons grand marnier (optional)

How To Make blueberry american pudding

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Simmer blueberries in brown sugar and 6 tablespoons butter.
  • Step 2
    Cream sugar, 2/3 cup butter and vanilla. Add eggs and beat. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into creamed sugar and butter mixture. Add orange rind and juice.
  • Step 3
    Place blueberry mixture in bottom of a 3 quart baking dish. Pour batter over berries, Bake 45 minutes. Whip cream and add grand marnier and serve as topping. Serves 10-12
