This recipe is from Taste of Home, but I did have this at a family gathering a few years ago. It's light, refreshing and easy to make. You can also make this a figure friendly dessert by using reduced fat ingredients.

Ingredients

graham crackers, crushed
5 Tbsp
margarine, melted
1 can(s)
(12 oz) cold evaporated milk
1/4 c
cold milk
2 pkg
(1 oz ea.) instant vanillia pudding mix
2 medium
firm bananas, sliced
1 can(s)
(20 oz.) unsweetened crushed pineapple, drained
1
container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
3 Tbsp
chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp
chocolate syrup
5
maraschino cherries, quartered

How to Make Banana Split Dessert

Step-by-Step

  • 1combine graham cracker crumbs and margarine; press into the bottom of a 13 x 9 dish coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 2In a bowl, whisk the evaporated milk, regular milk, and pudding mixes for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Spread pudding evenly over crust. Layer with bananas, pineapple and whipped topping. Sprinkle with nuts; drizzle with chocolate syrup. Top with the cherries. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting.
