Got this recipe years ago when someone brought it to a church dinner. I liked it better than my recipe because the banana's didn't turn as fast. I was using the pudding you cooked. This one uses instant pudding. Much faster and easier.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes small, instant vanilla pudding
  • 12 ounces container of cool whip
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 box vanilla wafers cookies
  • 4-5 - bananas

How To Make banana pudding

  • Step 1
    Fix pudding according to directions less 3/4 cup of milk. Add sour cream. Add 1/2 container of Cool Whip. Fold this in slowly.
  • Step 2
    Line bowl or dish with wafers. Slice a layer of banana's. Add 1/2 of pudding mixture. Add another layer of wafers. Slice rest of banana's on top of wafers. Cover them with other half of pudding mixture.
  • Step 3
    Cover top with other half of Cool Whip. Crumble vanilla wafer over top and chill.
