Got this recipe years ago when someone brought it to a church dinner. I liked it better than my recipe because the banana's didn't turn as fast. I was using the pudding you cooked. This one uses instant pudding. Much faster and easier.
1Fix pudding according to directions less 3/4 cup of milk. Add sour cream. Add 1/2 container of Cool Whip. Fold this in slowly.
2Line bowl or dish with wafers. Slice a layer of banana's. Add 1/2 of pudding mixture. Add another layer of wafers. Slice rest of banana's on top of wafers. Cover them with other half of pudding mixture.
3Cover top with other half of Cool Whip. Crumble vanilla wafer over top and chill.
