How to Make Baked Custard
- 1Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, milk, salt, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pour into greased casserole dish and sprinkle nutmeg on top ~much as you like. Probably 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
- 2Place casserole in middle of pan leaving enough room on sides to add very hot or boiling water just halfway up on casserole dish.
- 3When knife in center comes out only slightly coated, remove from pan and out of oven. Use appropriate pot holders. Let cool.
Bake at 325 degrees F - 1 hour
