Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted, cooled
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 large eggs, room temp
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make baked chocolate pudding

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 325. Lightly butter 2 quart baking dish; set aside.
  • Step 2
    In medium bowl, sift together cocoa & flour.
  • Step 3
    In large bowl beat eggs & sugar, 5-10 minutes, or until thick & lightly yellow. Reduce speed to low, add vanilla & cocoa mixture. Mix just until combined. Slowly pour into prepared dish. Set dish into larger pan. Add hot tap water half way up the side of the dish.
  • Step 4
    Bake exactly 1 hour; a toothpick inserted 2" from side will come out clean. The center will appear very under cooked.
  • Step 5
    Cool completely. To make ahead wrap; refrigerate up to 3 days. To serve bring to room temperate and serve with ice cream, if desired.
