This another one of my mother's recipes. She is nick named "Aunt Dort" from her nieces and nephews. Hope you like delicious concoction!

Ingredients

PUDDING

3 large
eggs, beaten
2 tsp
pure vanilla extract
3 c
milk
3/4 c
sugar
6 c
torn bread

SAUCE

6 Tbsp
butter
2 c
heavy whipping cream
4 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1 c
sugar

How to Make Aunt Dort's Bread Pudding and Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1For Pudding combine eggs, vanilla, milk, and sugar.
    Place torn bread in a 9 x 13 in pan. Pour mixture over bread. Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes until set. Test with a knife.
  • 2For sauce, combine butter, whipping cream, vanilla and sugar into a medium saucepan. Carefully bring to a boil. Reduce heat and continue to cook for 15 minutes on medium to low heat. Remove from heat and cover.
  • 3Spoon pudding into bowl and drizzle with sauce. Enjoy!!
