This another one of my mother's recipes. She is nick named "Aunt Dort" from her nieces and nephews. Hope you like delicious concoction!

  • 3 large
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 6 c
    torn bread

  • 6 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 4 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 c

How to Make Aunt Dort's Bread Pudding and Sauce


  1. For Pudding combine eggs, vanilla, milk, and sugar.
    Place torn bread in a 9 x 13 in pan. Pour mixture over bread. Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes until set. Test with a knife.
  2. For sauce, combine butter, whipping cream, vanilla and sugar into a medium saucepan. Carefully bring to a boil. Reduce heat and continue to cook for 15 minutes on medium to low heat. Remove from heat and cover.
  3. Spoon pudding into bowl and drizzle with sauce. Enjoy!!
