This another one of my mother's recipes. She is nick named "Aunt Dort" from her nieces and nephews. Hope you like delicious concoction!

Ingredients

  • PUDDING
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 cups torn bread
  • SAUCE
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar

How To Make aunt dort's bread pudding and sauce

  • Step 1
    For Pudding combine eggs, vanilla, milk, and sugar. Place torn bread in a 9 x 13 in pan. Pour mixture over bread. Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes until set. Test with a knife.
  • Step 2
    For sauce, combine butter, whipping cream, vanilla and sugar into a medium saucepan. Carefully bring to a boil. Reduce heat and continue to cook for 15 minutes on medium to low heat. Remove from heat and cover.
  • Step 3
    Spoon pudding into bowl and drizzle with sauce. Enjoy!!
