Ingredients

  • ·
    one package white noodles, 1 pound
  • ·
    2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • ·
    six eggs, beaten
  • ·
    1 pint sour cream or substitute low-fat sour cream
  • ·
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ·
    1/4 cup butter
  • ·
    three green apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • ·
    2/3 cup sugar
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ·
    1/2 cup golden raisins
  • ·
    nonstick spray

How to Make Aunt Cynthia's noodle kugel

Step-by-Step

  1. preheat oven to 325°. Bring a large pot of cold water to a boil, season with 2 tablespoon salt and cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and return to warm pot with butter. Add remaining ingredients and mix.
  2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray and spread noodle mixture into pan evenly. Place pan into a larger pan filled with 1/2 inch of water, to create a water bath. Cook for 45 minutes.
