Applesauce Bread Pudding, Crock Pot Style
- eggs, beaten
- 2 c
- 1 lb
- can applesauce
- 3/4 c
- 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted
- 2 tsp
- 3/4 tsp
- ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp
- 9 slice
- slightly dry bread
- 1/2 c
- hot water
- 2 lb coffee can or a 3 lb shortening can
How to Make Applesauce Bread Pudding, Crock Pot Style
- 1In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, applesauce, sugar, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
Trim crust from bread.
Cut bread into 1/2 inch cubes; gently stir bread cubes into applesauce mixture.
- 2Turn into a slightly greased 2 lb coffee can or a 3 lb shortening can. Cover with foil; place can in crock pot cooker.
Add 1/2 cup hot water to bottom of cooker. Cover cooker and cook on high heat setting about 3 hours, or until done.
- 3Remove the can from the cooker. Spoon pudding into serving dishes.
Top with frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed.
