Addicting Vanilla Bean Pudding

This recipe will make you moan it's so good. I think the best part is it's so easy! This is a vanilla pudding you can add your special touch to. I have layered it with Chocolate pudding and I also made it with a layer of bananas and crushed chocolate graham crackers. Play with this one! "Yumbo".

2 c
milk (whole or 2%,)
1/2 c
white sugar
3 Tbsp
1/4 tsp
1/4 stick
fresh vanilla bean
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 Tbsp
real unsalted butter


1In a bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Whisk extremely well.
2In medium saucepan, over medium heat, warm your milk until bubbles form at edges.
3Sprinkle sugar mixture and vanilla bean a little at a time into hot milk (whisking constantly). Continue to cook over medium heat and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Do not boil.
4Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract plus your butter. Pour into serving dishes. Chill before serving. I added banana slices in the middle of my dishes plus put in some crushed chocolate graham crackers on the bottom before pouring in the goods! Oh yea....MMMMmmmm mmm
5I did say it serves 4 but that all depends on the size of dishes you choose. :)
