How To Make white house pecan pie
-
Step 1Melt butter. Preheat oven to 350. Smear a little egg white or a little milk in bottom of uncooked pie shell, which will prevent the bottom from being soggy once cooked.
-
Step 2Blend sugar, syrup, salt & vanilla then add in melted butter and combine well. Add in the eggs and mix gently until well blended. Fold in pecans and pour into pie shell.
-
Step 3Bake @ 350 for 10 minutes then reduce heat to ***325 & continue baking an additional 30 to 40 minutes.
-
Step 4***Tip: you may need to cover outer crust with aluminum foil to prevent too much browning. Or use a pie shield if you have one.
