wash day cobbler

I found this recipe in an old cookbook that I checked out at a library. It tastes wonderful. I've never tried it with store bought pie filling (4 Cups). Like all cobblers, it's good with ice cream or home-made whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 pound butter, melted
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 quart home preserved fruit
How To Make wash day cobbler

Step 1Mix first 6 ingredients together.

Step 2Butter an 8"x8" glass casserole dish. Pour the batter into the dish.

Step 3Pour on the fruit, juice and all. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour.
