This recipe is from the BAKE OFF COOKBOOK 1961-1980. The bake offs are held every year at the Tanana Valley State Fair held in my home town of Fairbanks Alaska. I can never make enough of these tasty little treats. Believe me, you can't eat just one!! Try them out and let me know what you think.
1Cream Cheese Pastry
Soften cream cheese and butter and blend together. Stir in flour, Chill 1 hour
Shape into 1" balls; place in ungreased 1-3/4" muffin pans, pressing dough evenly on bottom and sides. (I use the back of a 1/2 tsp measuring spoon to help do this.)
Beat together egg, vanill, salt, brn sugar and 1
TBLSP. butter, just until smooth. Add walnuts and stir.
3Fill pastry cups 1/2 full. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool before removing from pan.
