I love this pie crust. No matter how much it is handled/rolled out, it never gets tough. I have even balled it up and put it in the freezer. After thawing, it rolls out just perfectly.

    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    shortening, butter flavor
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp
    water

How to Make Very Best Pie crust

Step-by-Step

  1. Sift flour. salt and sugar. Cut in shortening. Combine egg, vinegar, and water. Add to flour mix and mix. I like to roll out between two sheets of saran wrap for ease of moving it onto the pie pan.
