Ingredients
- 2 - pie pastry, prepared (use the crust that is rolled in the ref. section
- 1 cup pecans, halved
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed (for filling)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 4 cups sliced and peled tart apples (granny smith)

Step 1Coat a 9-inch with cooking spray preheat oven at 425

Step 2In a small bowl combine brown sugar and butter, stir in pecans. arrange in the bottom of the prepared pie plate rounded sides of pecans facing down

Step 3filling.. In large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon. Add applesand toss

Step 4With the pecans arranged in the bottom of the pie pan. now put one of the pie crust over them. Then add filling and the other crust. Brush top crust with butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Step 5Place pie on the cookie sheet in case of boil over. Cook for 15 minutes on 425. Turn oven down to 375 for 45 minutes. If crust is getting too brown: cover with pie shield or aluminum foil. Cool for 15 minutes the invert on a plate. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
