    unbaked pie crust
  • 2 tsp
    butter
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    maple syrup
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Unbeatable Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a heavy skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over low heat. Add nuts and stir for about 5 minutes or until nuts begin to color. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix together the beaten eggs, maple syrup, sugar, 1/3 cup melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir in the cooled nuts.
  4. Pour filling into crust. Bake 45 - 50 minutes or until filling is set. Cool before cutting.
