I wanted something other than a custard type pie and this fit that. The original vanilla flavored cakes make it just right to serve with a variety of toppings like hot fudge or caramel drizzled on it or fresh fruit or berries. Top with whipped cream. Also tastes good with different flavored snack cakes in the batter. I find a variety of flavors during special times of the year. Chocolate Twinkies are great for this pie and topping with hot fudge sauce and whipped cream is so good!! Strawberry Twinkies with fresh strawberries and whipped cream is fantastic! Anything goes!
