My husband came home with some fresh peaches and ask me to make him a peach cobbler. This recipe came from a OLD OLD church cookbook and so I threw it together with my fingers crossed, and who would have thought this would have been so good. Make sure you have some ice cream on the top and enjoy :)

Ingredients

  • 4 c
    sliced peaches
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    oleo/butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    plain flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    nutmeg

How to Make To Die 4 Peach Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. 1st Bowl:
    Mix sliced peaches with 1 cup of the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then set this bowl aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350. Put the oleo/butter in a 13x9 inch baking dish and melt it in the oven.
  3. 2nd Bowl:
    Stir up remaining cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk and pour this batter over the melted oleo/butter, but DO NOT STIR.
  4. Put the 1st bowl of sugared sliced peaches on the top of the batter, but DO NOT STIR!
  5. Bake for 55 minutes - 1 hour at 350. The batter will rise to the top and the top will be CRISP and BROWN. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream on top.
