This shell is a bit healthier than the usual white flour one. I bet it would be good filled with Butterscotch pudding pie filling

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
uncooked rolled oats
1/4 c
whole wheat flour
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 c
butter, melted
1/4 c
honey

How to Make Tina's Oatmeal Pie Shell

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix all and press into greased pie pan.
  • 2Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • 3I have made this with a filling of beating 1 can almond pie fill, 8 oz. cream cheese, zest of 1 lemon, 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon Gran Marnier. Mound into cooled shell. Garnish with sliced toasted almonds and chill
  • 4It would also be yummy with maple nut or butter pecan ice cream filling....oh the possibilities are endless!!
