Ingredients
- 2 cups finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted

- 14 ounces caramels
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 - semisweet chocolate squares
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 3/8 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make the ultimate caramel chocolate pecan pie

Step 1CRUST: Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Mix pecans, sugar and butter.

Step 3Press onto bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate.

Step 4Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 5Cool.

Step 6FILLING: Melt caramels with 1/4 cup milk in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.

Step 7Pour over crust; sprinkle with pecans.

Step 8Stir chocolate, 1/3 cup milk, powdered sugar and vanilla in heavy saucepan over very low heat just until melted.

Step 9Pour over caramel pecan filling spreading to edges of pie.

Step 10Refrigerate.

Step 11Serve with sweetened whipped cream if desired.
