  • 2 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • FILLING INGREDIENTS

  • 14 oz
    caramels
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 8
    semisweet chocolate squares
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1 3/8 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make The Ultimate Caramel Chocolate Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. CRUST: Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix pecans, sugar and butter.
  3. Press onto bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate.
  4. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  5. Cool.
  6. FILLING: Melt caramels with 1/4 cup milk in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
  7. Pour over crust; sprinkle with pecans.
  8. Stir chocolate, 1/3 cup milk, powdered sugar and vanilla in heavy saucepan over very low heat just until melted.
  9. Pour over caramel pecan filling spreading to edges of pie.
  10. Refrigerate.
  11. Serve with sweetened whipped cream if desired.
