sweet potato pie

I made this to bring for Thanksgiving several years ago it's always a hit with the grandchildren serve with fresh whipped cream. It's a good way to use leftover sweet potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes( prebaked)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or orange extract
  • 1 package pie crust
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

How To Make sweet potato pie

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl mash sweet potatoes and add remaining ingredients except pie crust.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Step 3
    Fit pie crust into pie plate (I like to use refrigerated roll out dough).
  • Step 4
    Pour sweet potato mixture into pie shell and bake in preheated oven for 50-55 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean .Let cool on wire rack.
