sweet potato pie
I make a lot of pies and have won numerous prizes, but this takes the prize in my husband's opinion! He loves, loves, loves sweet potato pie,even better than pumpkin.

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoes (you can used canned)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 3 - eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to preference)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-3/4 cup milk (does not have to be evaporated)
- 1 - single crust pie shell, unbaked
How To Make sweet potato pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F.

Step 2Mash your sweet potatoes and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Gradually add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

Step 3Gradually add mashed sweet potatoes, cinnamon, vanilla and milk. Mix well making sure everything is smooth.

Step 4Pour into your pie crust; bake 45-60 mins. or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 5Remove from oven and cool.

Step 6When completely cooled; garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
