How to Make Susie's Shepherd's Pie
1Brown ground beef and diced onion in skillet, drain.
2Return meat and onions to skillet and stir in brown gravy, soups, mixed vegetables, beef base, and water. When thoroughly mixed, pour into 9 x 13 baking dish.
3Mix parsley into mashed potatoes. Using a spatula, spread mashed potatoes over meat mixture, smoothing out. Sprinkle french fried onions evenly over the top.
4Bake in a 400* oven for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
May substitute ground beef for 3-4 cups of cooked and chopped chicken, turkey, pork roast, or pot roast. Just use coordinating gravy and soup base.
