I got this recipe from a good friend and made it for a family reunion. I made it in a 9x13 cake pan. I made 2 of them, one I added a layer of cheesecake (box kind) before the strawberries. They disappeared almost before I got through cutting the crust. Everyone loved it and asked for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3
    egg whites
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 12
    saltine crackers crushed
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 4 c
    sliced strawberries
  • 8 oz
    strawberry glaze
  • ·
    whipped cream

How to Make Strawberry pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff and glossy. This takes a good amount of time so don't quit too soon. Add next 4 ingredients and mix gently until combined. Lightly spray a large pie pan with oil. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let cool
  2. Mix strawberries with glaze. Pour over the cooled crust. When serving, put a dollop of whipped cream on top. Enjoy
