This cake has a cheesecake flavor which is very light and delightfully delicious.

Ingredients

  • 21 ounces can strawberry fruit filling
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 - egg (slightly beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 pint whipped cream
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make strawberry delight

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, butter, sugar, eggs, salt, baking soda, and walnuts. Press into a greased 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake in a 350 F oven for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Cool Whip cream and set aside. Blend softened cream cheese with confectioners' sugar and vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Fold whipped cream into cheese mixture. Spread onto baked and cooled crust. Top cream layer with strawberry pie filling.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate four or more hours before serving. Garnish with additional whipped cream.
