I adapted this from a recipe i found in an old cook book of my moms.

Ingredients
- 1 - pre-baked pie shell
- 1 quart strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 ounce packet of unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice, fresh
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
How To Make strawberry cream pie

Step 1In a large bowl combine sliced strawberries and sugar ;let stand for 15 minutes. In a small sauce pan sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let stand for 1 min. Cook and stir over medium heat until gelatin is dissolve; stir in lemon juice. stir into strawberry mixture. Cool to room temperature. fold in whipping cream. Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, then serve. (you can reserve a couple of the strawberries for garnish)
