Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • CHEESECAKE
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • SOUR CREAM TOPPING
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • STRAWBERRY TOPPING
  • 2 cups strawberries, crushed (1 pint)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juicce
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, crushed
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jelly

How To Make strawberry cheesecake extraordinaire

  • Step 1
    Crust: Mix crumbs with melted butter. Shape into a 10 inch spring form pan.
  • Step 2
    Cheesecake: Combine softened cream cheese with sugar and beat until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add extracts and mix. Pour into unbaked graham cracker crust and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Sour Cream Topping: Mix sour cream, sugar, and extracts. Pour on top of cheesecake. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool
  • Step 4
    Strawberry Topping: Place sliced strawberries over the chilled cheesecake. Blend the sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Stir in water, lemon juice, mashed strawberries and jelly. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir for one minute. Cool thoroughly before spreading on cheesecake.
