Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 - deep dish frozen pie crust
How To Make southern sweet potato pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°F

Step 2In a mixing bowl combine the sweet potatoes, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, cinnamon and ginger. Mix together with a hand mixer until well combined.

Step 3Next, add the evaporated milk and mix to combine.

Step 4Add the pie filling mixture to the pie crust and place into the oven. Bake 45 minutes or until done. Center of the pie should be set when done. Allow to cool before serving. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
