southern sweet potato pie
One of my favorites of many pies. My granddaughter loves pumpkin pie and sweet potato pies so she's happy whenever I make one or the other. I love making her happy, which is so easy to do!

Ingredients
- 1 - 9" pie shell
- 1 2/3 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- - dash of salt
- 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes
- 2 medium eggs, beaten
How To Make southern sweet potato pie

Step 1Combine all dry ingredients. Add in remaining ingredients & mix well. Pour into pie shell & bake @350 for 50-60 minutes. Cool, cut & serve. -
Step 2Hint: brush a very small amount of milk (or egg white) in bottom of crust before you fill it to prevent it from being soggy.
