Ingredients
- 1 pound light brown sugar
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 - eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 - pie crust shell - prepared or homemade
How To Make southern brown sugar pie

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place prepared pie crust on cookie/baking sheet - trust me, you will appreciate this. Set aside while oven is heating.

Step 2WHISK together eggs and add in sugar, butter and vanilla. WHISK together until combined well and smooth - DO NOT USE A MIXER.

Step 3Pour into pie crust. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Be very careful with baking time as pie can go from delicious to disaster very easily. (Note: You may need to put aluminum foil around pie crust edges to prevent too much browning.)
