Came across this on the Net and thought that it might be enjoyable. I think that I will make this for my cousin because he went on a misson to Africa.

Ingredients
- 1 - 9 in. pie crust (nilla wafer prefered)
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 - egg whites
- 3 - egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
How To Make south african milk tart

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2In large bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add the egg yolks and beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3Sift cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to batter and stir until well blended. Mix in the vanilla and milk.

Step 4In a seperate bowl, whip the egg whites until they are in stiff peak form. Fold into batter.

Step 5Pour into the pie crust and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar on top.

Step 6Bake for 25 min. then reduce the heat to 325 degrees. bake for another 25 min. or until the center is set when you gently jiggle the pie. Serve hot or cold.
