sour cream raisin pie

This is the recipe that my mother used to make. It brings back wonderful memories when I make it for my family.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 9 ounces package of raisin
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove, ground
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 package pie pastry, prepared

How To Make sour cream raisin pie

  • Step 1
    Put raisins in water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, simmer 5 minutes
  • Step 2
    Mix sugars, flour, salt, spices, lemon rind, and juice.Stir into hot mixture. Cook. Stirring until slightly thickened. Remove from heat---Cool
  • Step 3
    Beat eggs with sour cream, until blended. Stir into raisin mixture. Spoon into prepared pie crust. Bake at 450 degree for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake another 20 minutes.
