Ingredients For sour cherry pie

  • 1
    unbaked pie shell for 2 crust pie
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2 can
    pitted red tart cherries (16 oz) drained
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar

How To Make sour cherry pie

  • 1
    preheat oven to 425
  • 2
    mix sugar and flour.
  • 3
    stir cherries into sugar mixture. turn into pastry lined pie plate.
  • 4
    Sprinkle with almond extract and dot with butter.
  • 5
    Cover pie with top crust that has slits cut into it. seal and flute edge.

    Bake until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through the slits. approx 35-45 minutes.
