soda fountain pie
If anyone is 55 or over I'm sure everyone remember the soda fountains. In fact my mom worked at woolworths back in the 60's and we would take the bus to downtown San Diego just to eat there.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups crushed sugar cones
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 1/2 cups strawberries, fresh
- 1 quart softened vanilla ice cream
- 1/3 cup powdered malted milk powder
- 1 jar hot fudge sauce (or topping)
How To Make soda fountain pie

Step 1In small bowl combine sugar cones,butter and sugar then press into 10 inch pie plate ensure that sides of pie dish is covered also.

Step 2wash berries and cut off stems. Take out 1 cup strawberries and slice in half these will be for top of pie the other half of the strawberries is for the pieces in the filling. place remaining strawberries into blender and blend till smooth. you should have about 1 1/2 cups of liquid.

Step 3In large mixing bowl stir together the strawberry liquid and the soften vanilla ice cream and malted milk powder.

Step 4Pour into crust then cover and place in freezer for 2 hours. Remove from freezer and Spread fudge over top. let pie sit 30 minutes before serving.
