Have loved this brownie type fudge pie since a kid and after having my own kids, they've developed a great passion of the fudgey dessert too! Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream and to fancy it up a bit, add some chocolate syrup ( Hershey's ) and some extra nuts. Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ skillet fudge pie ~

    eggs
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 oz
    bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts and about 1/4 cup walnut halves
  • chocolate
    syrup & whipped cream - optional

How To Make ~ skillet fudge pie ~

    Preheat oven to 350. Melt chocolate in butter over low heat in small saucepan.

    In a medium bowl, beat eggs until fluffy, slowly beat in sugar. Stir in vanilla and flour. Next stir in 1/2 cup nuts and butter chocolate mixture. Grease an 8 inch iron skillet or pie plate. Pour mixture into pan or plate, place nut halves evenly over batter and bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until edge is dry, the center will appear not done, but will set up as it cools.

    Serve warm and garnish with whipped cream or ice cream and chocolate sauce. Add a few of the extra nuts as well.
