9"graham cracker pie crust
14 ozeagle brand sweetened condensed milk (do not substitute)
3egg yolks (no whites)
1/2 cnellie and joes key lime juice (do not substitute)
How to Make Sanibel Island Key Lime Pie
- Combine milk, eggs and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. Just before serving top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with lime slices.
NOTES-Nellie & Joes: the shelf life is 8 months, the farther from current date the better (per Scott at their corporate office). Do not you anything but Eagle brand (it didn't taste right with generic). This is the recipe Jerry's grocery store on Sanibel uses, it is hands down the very best Key Lime Pie I have ever had!
