Ingredients
- 4 large granny smith apples, peeled
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
How To Make russian apple pie

Step 1Remove core from the apples; cut in 2-inch chunks.

Step 2Line an 8-1/2-inch spring form pan with parchment paper. Lay the apple chunks on top of paper.

Step 3Let eggs warm to room temperature and then, in a medium bowl, beat until light yellow and foamy. Add sugar, small portions at a time.

Step 4Let sugar dissolve; add flour. Mix till you see air bubbles. Pour the mixture on the apples. Let the mixture soak into the apples--do not mix.

Step 5Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 55 minutes.

Step 6Remove from oven and flip pan upside down onto a plate. Apples will be on top. May sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream.
