- cook brown sugar, butter and cream mixture together until brown. the browner it is the more butterscotch flavor it has.
Mix milk, flour and egg yolk together well. Pour this mixture into the first mixture and stir constantly until thick and smooth, It will look like a mess at first but keep stirring. Pour into baked pie shell. Cover with meringue and brown.
