Both of my parents were great cooks...foodies of their day! This was my Mom's favorite pie to make my Dad.

  • 15 oz
    eagle brand milk
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 tsp
    lemon extract
  • 2 large
    egg, separated
  • 1/4 tsp
    cream of tatar
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1
    baked pie shell

How to Make Richard's Favorite Lemon Pie


  1. Blend milk, lemon juice, rind, extract, and egg yolks.
  2. Add cream of tatar to whites. Beat egg whites stiff enough to hold a peak. Add sugar gradually.
  3. Fold egg white mixture into lemon mixture. Pour into shell and bake in slow oven (325 degree oven) for 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
