one thanksgiving we burned some of the pumpkin pie crusts during our baking,instead of tossing them out I came up with this alternative.everyone loved it.

    pumpkin pies already baked, chopped up into pieces
  • 2 jar(s)
  • 2 bag(s)
    gingersnaps crushed
  • 1 jar(s)
    whipped cream, sweetened

How to Make Pumpkin Pie Trifle


  1. chop into pieces already baked whole pumpkin pies lining the bottom of a trifle bowl.enough to cover the bottom
  2. heat caramel, pouring over pumpkin (should be like ribbons)
  3. cover with a layer of crushed ginger snaps, adding more ribbons of caramel,
    alternate the layers until the top cover with whipped cream or cool whip and chill until ready to serve
