Ingredients
- 1 - fresh pumpkin
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make pumpkin pie filling from scratch

Step 1Cut the tops off of the pumpkin as you would a jackolantern.

Step 2Quarter the pumpkins lengthwise and scoop out seeds.

Step 3Sprinkle brown sugar and spices, along with a small bit of the salt on each quarter's shell.

Step 4Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until flesh is tender.
